Fiberglass geogrid (SNP)

ULTRANIT FGI (FiberGlass Impregnated) is made from complex twisted fiberglass yarns or single-process rovings with polymer impregnation.
ULTRANIT FGI (FiberGlass Impregnated) ASPHALT is made from complex twisted glass fiber yarns or singleprocess rovings and a non-woven geosynthetic substrate impregnated by polymer-bitumen compound with a mass not greater than 50g/m2 and melting point from 100℃ to 140℃.
The Ultranit® FGI main application: Reinforcement of structural road surface layers, strengthening of weak foundations
The Ultranit® FGI Asphalt Geogrid main application: Reinforcement of asphalt-concrete road surface layers

Scope of application

APPLICATIONS:
• New highways construction
• New airport runways construction
• Interlocking joints reinforcement
• Repair and reconstruction of outworn pavements
• Asphalt-concrete laying over outworn concrete roads

ADVANTAGES:
• Low level of elongation at break
• Close to zero creeping
• Good resistance to dynamic loads of heavy transport
• Resistance to significant temperature fluctuations
• Exceptional adhesion upon contact with asphalt-concrete
• Stable strength upon contact with hot bitumen
• Ability of use at sufficiently low temperatures (the material does not lose its properties at temperatures up to -60°С)
• The material is not subject to corrosion and maintains chemical resistance.

Conditional designation

Geogrid Ultranit (Ultranit®) SNP - glass geogrid thread-piercing
flat, formed by two systems of glass rovings located
perpendicular to each other and fastened with a knitting thread

Example:
Geogrid Ultranit SNP 40/40-35, STO 46487778-002-2015, where:
  • Ultranit SNP - geogrid brand;
  • 40/40 – strength of the material on the warp (in the longitudinal direction) and weft (in the transverse direction), respectively, kN/m;
  • 35 – cell size, mm;
  • STO 46487778-002-2015 - organization standard number.

Geogrid Ultranit (Ultranit®) SNP Asphalt - a geogrid fastened with a non-woven geotextile with a polymer-bitumen impregnation

Example:
  • Geogrid Ultranit SNP Asphalt 50/50-40, STO 46487778-002-2015, where:
  • Ultranit SNP Asphalt - geogrid brand;
  • 50/50 – strength of the material on the warp (in the longitudinal direction) and weft (in the transverse direction), respectively, kN/m;
  • 40 – cell size, mm;
  • STO 46487778-002-2015 - organization standard number.
